    Please consider taking this FREE Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) class offered by the Menlo Park Fire Protection District.

    All classes are taught by professional responders and experienced volunteers using practical, hands-on learning activities, video and power point. Menlo Park Fire generously contributes FREE emergency supplies with each segment of the class.

    CERT teaches citizens how to protect themselves, their families, their property and their community during minor emergencies or major disasters. Classes are FREE, fun and eye opening. Focusing on Emergency Preparedness, Mitigation, Response and Recovery
    Instructors engage students through games, exercises and competitions designed to develop the skills and muscle memory that is critical to an efficient response during an emergency. Once basic training is completed, many FREE advanced class are offered. Advanced classes are usually during the evening lasting 2-3 hours. With each section of the class, Menlo Park Fire generously contributes FREE emergency supplies to help stock your emergency kits.

    CERT is sponsored at the Federal, State and Local Level by FEMA, Cal Volunteers, and The Menlo Park Fire Protection District
    CERT is a neighborhood and community-based group offering emergency training and support for the individual, the block, the neighborhood, the city and the county.
    CERT is part of The Menlo Park Fire District’s Community Crisis Management Program (CCM) which includes membership and relationships with multiple Community Organizations Active in Disasters (COADs) such as Atherton Disaster and Preparedness team (ADAPT) and the American Red Cross.
