    Hi all,
as you probably have seen from the PG&E message there might be a PSPS Wednesday night from 8-10pm until 10pm on Thursday.
We might need to activate ARES and open the DOC at the Firehouse. At this stage we are only looking for volunteers.

Please fill the spreadsheet available in the new ARES Planning folder at:

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1VO-EhhpV2lrBqWstc6sSGIjXLXF0QOvk?usp=sharing

Look at the the example with my name. If you are available, please add your name and color code the shifts you could cover.

    Thanks all,
    Angelo N6QAD

Just to clarify since I heard on the net someone saying tomorrow, the potential shut down is Wednesday evening.

As I’m feverish and exhibiting Covid symptoms, I’m going to sit this activation out. I’m getting tested tomorrow. Hopefully it’s just a cold.

Angelo, I’m available for shifts. I signed up for a few at the end. I’m guessing the last few shifts are meant to be Friday 10/16? – Neil

Angelo, Brendan Peery will be in the KPDO Truck/Studio from 8pm Wednesday until 6am Thursday. Shannon Webb, Aaron Murphy, and I are talking today about what shifts we can take in the truck. We have generators and battery backup and should be able to keep the station going for the duration of the PSPS. If someone would like to learn how to go live on the air, we would appreciate the help. Please give me a call if you would like to discuss, or anyone can call if they want to get some training in the studio. 650-455-6744.

    Hi Catherine,
that is beyond ARES scope but maybe someone is interested. I personally would love to. I used to run a weekly show on the radio for several years when I was young. Not sure I have the time nowadays. I will give you a call later today in any case to understand if there are ways the club can support you and I will discuss it with Mike.
