Please view the La Honda Fire Brigade 2020 Spring Newsletter at this link: https://www.lahondafire.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Newsletter.pdf

This is our first electronic newsletter, thanks to Gabe. You may receive it from multiple sources, but wanted to make sure it gets out to everyone who may be interested. Thanks. Pat

    Hi Pat,

I think the electronic form of the Newsletter is a winner! Like many of the new practices we are evolving during this pandemic should be here to stay 🙂

A few ideas for fire brigade fund raising below, there is so much need now and people divide their spare resources between Puente fund, Alices free food delivery and Fire Brigade may come up short etc, but maybe this could work for not having the fair and raffle.

+ a virtual auction. Puente pulled this off last year. They used https://www.biddingowl.com/i think they take a cut, but it was incredibly successful. We could have a virtual Christmas fair with this online auction platform.

+ put the fire brigade on Coastside gives https://www.coastsidegives.org. Puente is there with matching finds, and La Honda Elementary.

+ Masks for La Honda Fire: let’s approach this Mask making group and see if they can expand and make masks for the fire brigade to be sold to people in the community who cannot sew. I am still wearing a bandana, i can spend a lot of money on Etsy to get sewn masks but i’d rather give it to LH Fire. I think a lot of people in the community still need masks.

    Thoughts?

Thank you for all you do for the community!

    Pat,

May I use some of that content ( mostly the contact info for the Puente fund ) in the PMAC ‘South Coast Covid-19 Resources’ page I’m maintaining?
