Wow. We had a great Field Day, by all measures! I want to thank Mike for doing an excellent job as IC, not only for doing such a good job organizing, but for doing it in a completely new venue and on new terrain. There were a lot of unknowns to deal with this year because of that. And many thanks to Pat for taking on the huge responsibility of Logistics for the event, ~and~ weed whacking the area before we got there, ~and~ retrieving the ResHorse trailer after the event. Speaking of which, the Trailer Committee went above and beyond to finish up their work on the trailer in time for Field Day. I’m really proud of everyone in our group for their participation and commitment.

    I have a few photos:

I knew I forgot something: Big thanks and hugs to Will & Adda who camped out on Friday to watch over our site and keep it safe from burglars and raccoons.

Gosh. And to Peter for running the GOTA tent. He worked all weekend as an emissary for ham radio and for SC4ARC, and I know everyone knows how good he is at that. Thank you, Peter 🙂

I want to say thanks for making my first Field Day so awesome! I had a great time, and I know how much work it is to put on an event like this. I appreciate everyone’s time and commitment and great spirits. It’s what makes it so welcoming for newcomers like myself.

And Linda – Sunday morning I got a pile-up. It only lasted about 15 minutes, but it was glorious. I thought about you.

YAY Gabriel!!! SO happy for you! It IS glorious isn’t it – that’s why it’s on my bucket list 🙂

Yes it was a lot of fun. I am still falling asleep here and there though….

It was so good to see everyone!

Wish we could have camped out again this year, dinner and camping was always my favorite part. 🙂

Sorry we missed some of you (Pat/Peggy/Linda/etc).
I seriously doubt we’ll be able to find a ham club as awesome as this anywhere outside of La Honda!

Whenever we get our house in Austin (looking at a year or so from now before we buy) we’ll certainly be using all the stuff we learned from being part of SC4 to select our antenna setup!

I found the extra Yaesu FT-450 (?) mic in my backpack this morning. My bag was right next to the desk, so someone must have tossed it in there for safe-keeping.

Where should I bring it? I forget exactly whose it was (Will maybe?).

Good news – I knew it was around somewhere.

Not sure if that one is Will’s or mine – I think its Will’s. If you’re passing through metropolitan La Honda, let me know and we’ll arrange a pickup.

Mike – I live in Cuesta on Cuesta Real. I’m happy to drop it off at your house or another location.
