    Hi all,
as expected there will be another power shut down in our area, since a new red flag warning for fire weather has been issued.
Period of activation starts on Saturday at 4pm and is planned for 48hr. Most likely it will be extended since weather conditions are expected to improve Monday afternoon. Make sure you are prepared for a 60-72hr power down.
Ari asked us and CERT to open up and stuff the DOC for 48hr with possible extension.
We need volunteers for the following shifts (2 people per shift).

    Saturday 26 – 4:00pm – 10:00pm
    Saturday 26 – 10:00pm – 4:00am
    Sunday 27 – 4:00am – 10:00am
    Sunday 27 – 10:00am – 4:00pm
    Sunday 27 – 4:00pm – 10:00pm
    Sunday 27 – 10:00pm – 4:00am
    Monday 28 – 4:00am – 10:00am
    Monday 28 – 10:00am – 4:00pm
    and most likely:
    Monday 28 – 4:00pm – 10:00pm
    Monday 28 – 10:00pm – 4:00am
    Tuesday 29 – 4:00am – 10:00am

We will do a roll call on the repeater CMD31 tonight at 6:30pm to complete stuffing.
Let me know if you are available.

I can do 4-10pm on Saturday or Sunday. It would be nice if one CERT person who is not a ham could accommodate one ham operator for each shift. At the rate these power outages are going, we’re going to run out of hams to staff the DOC if we have two hams. Just a suggestion.

Easier to tell you which shifts I am NOT available: Sunday 10a-4p, Monday 10a-4p.

I will take any other shifts as either ham or CERT.

I’m unavailable for the first Saturday shift and all of Monday and Tuesday.
Other than that, schedule me where you need me.

I can definitely do Sunday 4am-10am. Other shifts might also be possible.

I’m willing to try a shift but at this point, I perhaps should be an observer or helper since I’m very new to all this. I sat in as the Logger during the SET recently. I think all would agree my notes were lacking (especially when it came to getting everyone’s calls signs!) So perhaps I could be the third wheel on a 10 am-4 pm shift on Monday or Sunday
    Thanks!

A blip of news went by that there may be a second wind event and corresponding PG&E shutdown immediately following the current one.
