    Hi all,
as you probably know there might be a PSPS Sunday night from 8-12pm until 12pm on Tuesday.
Ari has asked us to activate ARES and open the DOC at the Firehouse. We are looking for volunteers.

Please fill the spreadsheet available in the new ARES Planning folder at:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/145KjvRzxY_GMz-S7o9gVokYbDE7exlZrpfsBNON6hn8/edit?usp=sharing

Look at the the example with my name. If you are available, please add your name and color code the shifts you could cover.

    Thanks all,
    Angelo N6QAD

    Hi all,
thanks so much for signing up. All ARES slots are now assigned. This time CERT is scheduling independently.
ARES assignment is to open the DOC, collect documentation and provide communication support (radio). It is not ARES duty to answer phone calls or questions from walk-ins. Expect a CERT operator with you during your shift.

ARES assigned shifts are the following:

    Sun 25 18:00-22:00 Angelo N6QAD
    Sun 25 22:00-04:00 Eva KN6CZD
    Mon 26 04:00-10:00 Mike KJ6VCP
    Mon 26 10:00-16:00 Sue KN6CZA – support N6QAD
    Mon 26 16:00-22:00 Jeneen W6NCS
    Mon 26 22:00-04:00 Danger KM6VDI
    Tue 27 04:00-10:00 Bob S. W6RES
    Tue 27 10:00-16:00 Martine KN6GMK – support N6QAD

Thank you all for signing up. Being a stand by operation these PSPS are good opportunities for training of new operators. Note I will be there to support new operators during their shifts.

    Best,
    Angelo

To minimize repeater activity during power down we will have check-ins at a pre-defined schedule. Additional ones will be added at the beginning and at the end of the activation and in case of emergency. During power shut downs remember to keep your messages short. Name – Call sign – location – traffic.

    Check-in schedule:

    8:30 AM
    12:30 PM
    4:30 PM
    8:30 PM

    Hi everybody,
Thank you all for supporting this activation. Ari asked us to shut down at 10pm tonight so Eva’s, Peter’s and Martine’s shifts are cancelled.

We will have a debrief at the next meeting.

    Best,
    Angelo N6QAD
