Hi all,
our annual Simulated Emergency Test (SET) is approaching. Also this year we will participate in a greater event involving bot ARES and CERT teams in the entire Coastside District Branches 1-2-3-4.

Hi Angelo,
A CERT activation went out for CERTS to meet at the fire house at 10AM.
HAM ARES operators signed up for the SET will log into the webinar instead? Will we be stay put and wait to be activated via the radio? Or will we be activated through the webinar?

Plans have changed since our original instructions. The Webinar is being presented by Coastside CERT and HMB ARES. It will be primarily focused on what they are going to be doing for their shakeout exercise. SC4ARES and South Coast CERT are doing a different exercise. Our scenario is that today there was a large earthquake. The DOC was immediately activated. ARES members who are available were asked to report to the DOC at 1000 hours on Saturday, Oct. 9. The Incident Plan and Objectives for both ARES and CERT have been uploaded to the library. Our primary objective will be to assist the CERT Teams in the field and to help them learn how to use their radios. The Comm Plan for the drill has also been uploaded to the library. Sorry for any confusion.
