That’s great Eva. Be sure to wear your vest and make sure they know you represent SC4ARES. Because some of us have a conflict the evening of May 22, they have adjusted the end time from 5 to 3.
ARES Leadership, please try to make an appearance at this event. I guarantee you will learn something and you will have fun!
Thanks. Pat

ARES and CERT has been invited to participate in the San Mateo County Large Animal Evac’s Animal Handling Training. This is a great opportunity to learn how to work with large animals and other farm animals (like pigs and chickens) during an emergency. And, it’s a LOT OF FUN!

Congratulations to Nadezhda, KN6REB, for having her call sign drawn at today’s general meeting from among all of those who participated in the month of March. She won the $25 gift card for Alice’s Restaurant.
And my thanks to everyone who participates in our Monday Night Net.

It’s been a long time since we were all able to get together as a group and enjoy each others’ company over a meal. It’s not the same thing, but I’m offering one lucky ham a free pizza and beverage (or whatever else $25 will get you at Alice’s.) It’s a “thank you” for your participation in our community.
Over the next 4 Mondays, March 7, 14, 21…[Read more]

Yes, we have talked about doing that and will start that at the next sign up. The bigger issue is getting those 43 people to sign up to be Net Control. Pat

I wonder if it makes sense to change net control operators to one week only? If we have 43 ARES members and they’re all required to operate as net control once a year to keep up their membership, we’d need 43 weeks to get them all in. Even if we only had 30 members, it’s still not possible with two week assignments.
Just a thought! – Neil
